Zimbra Collaboration Suite Gains iPhone 2.0 Support

Zimbra Mobile, which provides over-the-air synchronization of photos, e-mails, calendars and contacts to a mobile device as part of the hosted Zimbra Collaboration suite, has been updated to support theiPhone 2.0 firmware. The iPhone upgrade is compatible with all editions (Network Edition Standard or Professional) of the suite - up through the most recent version, 5.0.9.

That edition adds support for synchronizing multiple calendars and address books, and also takes advantage of the latest Zimbra Server and iPhone software enhancements to further optimize push -email performance.

Zimbra Mobile is offered as a component of the Zimbra Collaboration Suite. It has an annual site license fee starting at $500. Users can test Zimbra Mobile for iPhone through Zimbra's hosted demo, available here. .

Support for iPhones running 2.0 software is part of a range of smartphones Zimbra Mobile already supports, including Window Mobile devices, Palm's Treo series, Nokia's Eseries, RIM BlackBerry, among others.
