WORD SPIN Promises to Expand Vocabularies Though Fun

wordspin.gifGeospace and developer RogueSheep this week released WORD SPIN for the iPhone and iPod touch. The App combines the elements of popular word games, crossword puzzles and word searches. It is being pitched as a way to sharpen language skills, as it makes you identify words and anagrams from two to eight letters in length.

There are three different games in WORD SPIN: Solitaire, Challenge and Practice. Solitaire allows players to spell up to eight-letter words and set personal high scores that can be recorded on both local and global leaderboards. Challenge allows them to send challenges to other players and Practice is or folks who wish to enhance their vocabulary and experiment with building the tougher seven and eight letter words or finding all the easy to overlook short words on every line.

WORD SPIN will normally go for $2.99, but is available now at an introductory price of $1.99 at the App Store.
