The White House Releases iPhone Application

whitehouseapp.gifIn its continuing bid to be the most technically-savvy White House yet, the Obama Administration has released an app for the iPhone and iPod touch. The app, according to the The White House Blog, delivers dynamic content from the WhiteHouse.gov website to the palm of users' hands. In addition, the app, called The White House (free, available here) allows us, the people, to view live video streams of the President's public events at the White House, take part in web chats with Administration officials, and watch other events like speeches and press briefings. In the coming weeks, the Administration plans extend its mobile offerings to other handhelds and cell phones through a new wireless portal, mobile.WhiteHouse.gov.
